UCLA is prepared for the impacts of H1N1 influenza, sometimes called swine flu. Campus officials continue to monitor the latest information from federal, state and local public health officials. Updates will be posted on this page.

A vaccine for H1N1 could become available on campus by early November. The Ashe Center will notify students when they can make appointments.

Helpful information on H1N1 flu

H1N1 is spread from person to person, much like the seasonal flu. UCLA urges everyone to follow basic health regimens — frequent hand-washing, coughing or sneezing into a tissue and immediately throwing it out, and healthy eating and sleeping. Campus officials also strongly urge anyone who is sick without complications to stay home.
