UCLA faculty experts advisory: L.A. bans plastic bags at supermarkets
The Los Angeles City Council has voted to ban plastic shopping bags at grocery stores and eventually require stores to charge 10 cents per paper bag, a move supported by environmental groups and clean-water advocates. UCLA has an expert.
