UCLA faculty experts advisory: High court rules on health care reform law

HEALTH POLICY EXPERTS

Gerald Kominski, director of the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research and professor of public health, is an expert on the financial impact of alternative approaches to health care. He recently co-authored a study on the individual mandate — the health care reform law requirement that all Americans purchase some type of coverage. The study revealed that without this mandate, up to 1 million Californians would go without health insurance.
