UCLA faculty experts advisory: Film sparks attacks against U.S. diplomats in Middle East
The U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other diplomats were killed Sept. 11 in an attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi by Muslim extremists angered over an American-made film made they deemed blasphemous to the Prophet Muhammad. The U.S. consulate in Cairo was also attacked. UCLA has experts.
