UCLA faculty experts advisory: L.A., UCLA ready for 'Carmageddon II'
The 405 freeway will be closed completely between the 10 and 101 freeways on Sept. 29 and 30 as part of a $1 billion project to widen the 405 for a carpool lane by late 2013. UCLA has experts.
GENERAL:
Brian Taylor, director of UCLA's Lewis Center for Regional Policy Studies and the UCLA Institute of Transportation Studies, is a professor of urban planning at UCLA's Luskin School of Public Affairs and an expert on transportation policy, planning and finance. He recently co-authored a report for the Los Angeles Mayor's Office on the summer 2011 closure of the 405.
