UCLA faculty experts advisory: Mass killing at school in Connecticut
At least 18 children and eight adults were killed this morning in a mass shooting at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn. UCLA has experts on mass killings, the psychology of these tragedies, and gun control.
Douglas Kellner, the George F. Kneller Professor of the Philosophy of Education at UCLA's Graduate School of Education and Information Studies, is an expert on school shootings and domestic terrorism and is the author of "Guys and Guns Amok: Domestic Terrorism and School Shootings from the Oklahoma City Bombings to the Virginia Tech Massacre" (2008).

Adam Winkler, professor of law, is a constitutional law specialist whose scholarship has touched on a variety of issues, including the Second Amendment.
