By UCLA Newsroom October 29, 2013 Category: Academics & Faculty
On Nov. 5, the Southland will mark the 100th anniversary of the completion of the Los Angeles Aqueduct, the seminal hydrological achievement that paved the way for the region's development as a major metropolis. UCLA has an expert.
Jon Christensen, a veteran journalist and UCLA faculty member at the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability and the department of history, is the new editor of the quarterly general interest magazine Boom: A Journal of California. The new issue is devoted to the L.A. Aqueduct centennial. Read a Q&A with Christensen about the aqueduct and Boom magazine.
