UCLA faculty experts advisory: SAG vote on new contract expected to be close

After nearly a year without a labor contract, Screen Actors Guild members will go to the polls June 9 in what is expected to be a close vote on a new contract with Hollywood film and television studios. UCLA has experts.

 

Nelson Gayton is executive director of the Entertainment and Media Management Institute at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. The institute examines the forces of change shaping the management of entertainment and media enterprises.

David Ginsburg, executive director of the UCLA School of Law's Entertainment and Media Law and Policy Program, is a former president of both the Alliance Atlantis Motion Picture Group and Artisan Pictures. Ginsburg also served as president and chief executive officer of Citadel Entertainment and was a founding partner of the entertainment department of an international law firm.
