Today’s Guardian includes a review of "Jane Austen, Game Theorist," a book by UCLA associate professor of political science Michael Suk-Young Chwe, which argues that 19th-century author Jane Austen's novels explored in detail the strategic actions and manipulations that would become codified as "game theory" some 150 years later.
Severe Morning Sickness and OTC Medication
The Parent Herald blog reported Tuesday on a study led by Marlena Fejzo, assistant professor of hematology–oncology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, which found that women with a severe form of morning sickness who take antihistamines have a significantly higher risk for problems with their pregnancy. Fejzo was quoted.
