Live Science reported Friday on the work and research of Jo Anne Van Tilburg, a research associate at UCLA's Cotsen Institute of Archaeology and director of the institute's Rock Art Archive, and colleagues showing that the ancient carved stone heads on Easter Island in the Pacific Ocean are attached to stone bodies. Mystery of Growth-Stunting Disorder Solved
Asian News International reported Monday, and Live Science reported Sunday, that UCLA scientists and colleagues have identified the genetic mutation responsible for IMAGe syndrome, a rare disorder that stunts infants' growth.
