UCLA to host candidate forum for L.A.'s 2nd Supervisorial District

WHAT:
UCLA Government and Community Relations, in partnership with the West LA Democratic Club, is sponsoring a candidate forum for the Los Angeles County 2nd Supervisorial District election. Co-sponsors include the Four Star Democratic Club of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Urban League, the Westwood-Westside Democratic Club and the 53rd Assembly District Democratic Club.

FORMAT:
Candidates will have two minutes each for opening statements; they will then respond to questions from panelists and the audience, followed by closing statements.
BACKGROUND:
The election to succeed longtime Los Angeles County Supervisor Yvonne B. Burke is June 3. The district includes portions of Los Angeles, Carson, Compton, Culver City, Gardena, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Lawndale and Lynwood, as well as many unincorporated areas.
