UCLA rates highly in prestigious rankings
UCLA once again fared very well in two prestigious rankings issued this spring: U.S. News & World Report's 2013 rankings of the nation's best graduate schools and the London Times Higher Education's 2012 World Reputation rankings.
UCLA placed ninth — three spots higher than last year — in the London Times Higher Education rankings, which orders schools according to global prestige. The rankings are based on a survey of more than 17,500 academics worldwide. The top 10 institutions in this ranking, in order, were Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Cambridge, Stanford University, UC Berkeley, the University of Oxford, Princeton University, the University of Tokyo, UCLA and Yale University.
