Third Annual Benefit Auction, "SCREENPLAY"
Screens of all types -- folding, privacy, etc. -- which have been designed,fabricated and donated by prominent architects, artists, landscape architects,engineers and graphic designers, will be displayed and auctioned at theUCLA/Hammer Museum.
Previews will take place Friday, April 30, from 6-8 p.m. in the courtyardat Perloff Hall on the UCLA campus and again on Sunday, May 2, at 1 p.m.at the UCLA/Hammer Museum.

SURFACE, the journal published by the students in the Department ofArchitecture and Urban Design at UCLA, provides a site for critical discourseon issues related to the city, architecture, design and visual culture.Proceeds from "SCREENPLAY" will provide support for the developmentof SURFACE, Volume 2, which will explore the theme of surveillance as itrelates to architecture and the urban environment.
