Adaptation of Nobel-winning novel to be staged outdoors at the Clark Library

Clark-DwarfIf you’re looking to satisfy your outdoor theater fix, UCLA's William Andrews Clark Memorial Library presents its final Arts on the Grounds performance of the summer this weekend. Artistic Director Annie Loui and the Counter-Balance Theater company will blend movement and dance in an adaptation of Pär Lagerkvist's Nobel Prize-winning novel, "The Dwarf." The story features Piccolino, the resident dwarf of a great Renaissance Prince, who shares his journal with the audience. Attendees are encouraged to show up an hour early and have a picnic on the lawn. Gates open at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8. Tickets are $15 and available online. On-site parking is available.
