Joseph-GreenJoseph Green is a young opera-singing phenom whose talents were discovered after he moved into Sproul Hall — at the age of 11.

Joe, who's now 14, is the son of art history professor Charlene Villaseñor Black, and became a campus resident when Black joined the Faculty in Residence program. His amazing voice was discovered when UCLA students invited him to audition for their production of "Seussical," for which he was cast as the lead.

And that was only the beginning of his story. Read about his progress so far in UCLA Magazine Online and hear him perform an operatic piece.
