Feb. 23: Advancing Policing Equality

The UCLA Law School, in conjunction with the Healthy Campus Initiative and many student groups, will present "From Healing to Action: Advancing Policing Equality" on Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. in the UCLA School of Law, room 1347.

This event will feature keynote speakers, law professors Devon Carbado and Kimberlé Crenshaw from the UCLA Law Critical Race Studies Program. Cardabo will lecture on "Causes of Police Violence" while Crenshaw will speak on "Police Violence and Women." There will also be facilitated dialogues by Meredith Gamson-Smiedt from the Center for Policing Equality, UCLA psychologist Alan Green and Nicole Green from UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services.
