In his own words: Economist Shlomo Benartzi on how to save for retirement

Shlomo-BenartziShlomo Benartzi, an economist with the Anderson School, talks about one of the biggest obstacles to saving for retirement and asks: How do we turn this behavioral challenge into a behavioral solution?
Benartzi and his University of Chicago colleague, Richard Thaler, have written a best-selling book, "Save More Tomorrow" (Portfolio, 2012).
The recommendations they made have been incorporated in new legislation, the "Save More Tomorrow Act of 2012," that was introduced May 15 in the U.S. Senate by Sen. Daniel Akaka (D-Hawaii) to help more federal employees start saving for retirement.
