Nobel lectures by Professor Shapley, other new laureates to be webcast

UCLA professor emeritus Lloyd Shapley is in Stockholm to receive the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel. Included among the scheduled events are lectures by this year's Nobel laureates to be delivered on Saturday, Dec. 8 in Sweden. You can watch the lectures live on the web here.
Professor Shapley's lecture, entitled "Assignment Games: The Mathematics of Matching," is due to be webcast at 1 p.m. Central European Time (4 a.m. Pacific Standard Time) in conjunction with a lecture by his co-winner, Alvin E. Roth of Harvard. This video player will show all of the Nobel lectures, beginning at midnight Pacific time with the Nobel lecture in physics.
Professor Shapley took part in a press conference in Stockholm on Friday, Dec. 7.
