Andrea Ghez, award-winning professor of physics and astronomy whose work in techniques, such as the adaptive-optics system used by the Keck telescopes, has led to discoveries about star-forming regions and the super-massive black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy, will be talking about her work as next speaker in the Emerging Research Speaker Series. The May 7th lecture — sponsored by the Academic Senate, UCLA Staff Assembly and Campus Human Resources — will take place at 3:30 p.m. at the Faculty Center.
