What’s really happening when you click "I accept" on a website? According to the documentary film "Terms and Conditions May Apply," those clicks unknowingly generate a cloud of data that others can access to learn everything from whom you voted for to what psychological problems you might have. In some cases, this data has led to the arrest of ordinary citizens for "suspicious tweets." See the critically acclaimed 2013 film, which features interviews with technology thought leaders and futurists including Google chief engineer Ray Kurzweil and Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 10 a.m. at Charles Young Research Library. Admission is free; no RSVP required. Co-presented by the UCLA Office of Information Technology as part of Data Privacy Month.
