Long before Pixar and today's CGI special effects extravaganzas, early animators of the silent era experimented and introduced new techniques into filmmaking. Mark Quigley, manager of the Archive Research and Study Center in the UCLA Film and Television Archive, gives a tour of the UCLA's Film and Television Archive — one of the few places in the world that capture this rich history of early animation.
