The UCLA Bruins returned today from Omaha, Neb. with the 109th NCAA national championship trophy in the history of the school. That is the most NCAA titles won by any U.S. college or university. The Bruins won the College World Series on Tuesday night with an 8-0 victory over Mississippi State.

The bus carrying the Bruins arrived at Jackie Robinson Stadium about 12:30 p.m. The players and Coach John Savage were met with cheers and a UCLA 8-clap from family, friends and well-wishers.

A free public celebration is scheduled Thursday at 2 p.m. at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
