The selections are “a testament to the rich, diverse stories told by talented UCLA filmmakers,” said May Hong HaDuong, director of the UCLA Film & Television Archive.
The program awarded a total of $139,380 to faculty in fields ranging from architecture and urban design to African American studies, and from gender studies to music.
“Particular Histories: Provenance Research in African Arts” is based on the findings of an initiative to trace the movement of objects collected during an exploitative colonial era.
