UCLA Media Relations and Public Outreach operates a broadcast studio to assist faculty members and campus newsmakers in respoding to media requests. Live uplinks to televison and radio networks are available. The studio also can provide a full range of video production services. Examples.

Studio facilities

  • Controlled environment for video and audio interviews.
  • Fiber optic uplink via The Switch.
  • ISDN lines for radio.
  • Custom backdrops and TelePrompTer are available.
  • with UCLA experts.  Faculty and research staff have appeared on broadcast outlets such as CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and Al Jazeera.  A large 82-inch monitor allows for the display of custom backdrops and a TelePrompTer is available on request.

Location

The broadcast studio is located in room 210A on the 2nd floor of the James West Alumni Center. JWAC is between Pauley Pavilion and Ackerman Union, just south of the Morgan Center. Parking options include structures 4, 8 and 9.
