Omri Azencot, assistant adjunct professor of math at UCLA, was granted a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowship as part of the European Union Framework for Research and Innovation, Horizon 2020. Azencot will work on geometry processing related problems in collaboration with professor Andrea Bertozzi.

The proposed research offers a new point of view for long-standing problems. The resulting algorithms that Azencot hopes to create may be used in several scientific and engineering domains such as architectural geometry, fabrication of curved objects and computer aided design systems, among other applications.

Azencot has been previously honored with an excellence scholarship from the faculty of computer science at Technion and the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions seal of excellence.
