The UCLA Healthy Campus Initiative, envisioned and supported by Jane and Terry Semel, invites you to celebrate the grand opening of UCLA’s Living Amphitheater from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 4. Located inside the Sunset Recreation Complex, the new venue provides a welcoming space for the UCLA campus community.
The event will feature:
- Healthy Campus Initiative-funded student projects, giveaways, demos, live music and book signing of “One Gun Ranch, Malibu: Biodynamic Recipes for Vibrant Living” by Alice Bamford and Ann Eysenring;
- An adaptation of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” directed by UCLA’s Undergraduate Acting Program head Joe Olivieri. It will feature actors and designers from UCLA’s Department of Theater;
- A celebration party with free food by Roy Choi's LocoL – founder of the Kogi food truck – and live music.
Currently expanded across the entire UC system, the Healthy Campus Initiative is committed to making UCLA the healthiest campus in America. Free tickets are available at UCLA’s Central Ticket Office. $25 online tickets are also available for purchase.
