The winner will be someone who demonstrates a commitment to university values through significant contributions and achievements that consistently exceed established requirements of the individual’s appointed job. Self-nominations are not accepted. The individual selected for this prestigious honor will receive a $4,000 award. Review the criteria or submit a nomination.

Faculty/Staff Partnership Award

This award recognizes faculty members who actively develop and encourage faculty/staff partnerships. Some examples of faculty/staff partnerships include soliciting staff input and feedback regularly or working jointly on special projects. Nominations may be submitted by any UCLA non-academic staff member. Review the criteria or submit a nomination.

Staff scholarships

Each year Staff Assembly offers scholarships for staff who are seeking career enhancement and professional growth opportunities. This year Staff Assembly will fund 19 scholarships and the UCLA Retirees’ Association is the proud sponsor of four additional scholarships. Two additional scholarships sponsored through the UCLA Healthy Campus Initiative will be awarded to applicants for education and training that support improving health and wellness of the UCLA Community. UCLA staff may apply for an individual scholarship of up to $500. Scholarships must be used during the 2018–19 academic year and are funded on a reimbursement basis only upon completion of the course/seminar/workshop that was outlined in the application. The scholarship recipients must be active employees at the time of reimbursement. Review the criteria or apply.

Those with questions about the awards or scholarships should contact Kathleen Ly, vice president of special projects, at kly@volunteer.ucla.edu.
