Hu. a 2013 graduate of UCLA, stands before her mural painted on Rafa Esparza's adobe wall sculpture, located on the former site of a railroad train yard and maintenance facility along the L.A. River. Since 2014, the site, the Bowtie Project in northeast Los Angeles, has been used for artists' performances, projects and events.
