The emergency preparedness team at the UCLA Anderson School of Management has been presented with distinguished service awards by Colin Dimock, assistant vice chancellor from the office of environment, health and safety, on behalf of UCLA Chancellor Gene Block, Michael Beck, administrative vice chancellor at UCLA, and Art Kirkland, emergency management director at the university. The emergency preparedness team at UCLA Anderson has also received awards from the City of Los Angeles.

The emergency preparedness team at UCLA Anderson was established in 2001 and is made up of 85 staff and faculty members who have annual opportunities to train in American Red Cross and Community Emergency Response Team classes. The safety team is responsible for building safety and evacuation drills for UCLA Anderson’s six structures.
