Magali Delmas, an environmental economist and professor in the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability, and her co-author David Colgan, have recently won the 2019 Organizations and the Natural Environment Division of the Academy of Management Book Award for their book, “The Green Bundle: Pairing the Market with the Planet.”
The book offers a guide for how companies can create green products for the “convenient consumer,” people who want to do the right thing but are not ready for any trade-offs. It also shows how the human urge to consume can be harnessed to help the environment.
The award honors the best book published in the area of organizations and the natural environment in the last three years.
Delmas is also a professor of management in the UCLA Anderson School of Management. She specializes in business strategy and corporate sustainability.
