Architect Georgina Huljich, assistant adjunct professor at UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture, and Marcelo Spina, both principals and founders of P-A-T-T-E-R-N-S, and architects from Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill, along with developer City Century, recently unveiled renderings for a high-profile trio of high-rise, mixed-use towers to be built in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.
The towers in the mega-project Olympia will rise 43, 53 and 65 stories on a 3.25-acre site at the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Georgia Street. The mixed-use project will include 1,367 residential units, 40,000 square feet of retail space and 115,000 square feet of open space.
Olympia will be built between the L.A. Live sports and entertainment complex and the Metropolis, a similar mega-project offering shopping and upscale housing. The design for the towers features large open terraces and community spaces throughout.
