Ann Carlson, UCLA’s Shirley Shapiro Professor of Environmental Law and faculty co-director of the UCLA Emmett Center on Climate Change and the Environment, is one of the country’s leading scholars of climate change law and policy. Carlson’s legal expertise has focused on constitutional questions of environmental law, such as the division of authority between states and the federal government on greenhouse gas emissions.

Carlson is member of the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability.
