R. Bradley (Brad) Sears is the executive director of the Williams Institute, and an expert on court cases and public policy related to same-sex marriage and HIV/AIDS discrimination. The Williams Institute is the country’s first national think tank dedicated to issues of sexual orientation law and policy and the only research center at a law school dedicated to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues.

Sears is also an adjunct professor at UCLA School of Law, who teaches courses on sexual orientation law, disability law, and U.S. legal and judicial systems.
