Ian Holloway

Ian Holloway is an assistant professor of social welfare in the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs and an expert on HIV and substance abuse prevention in vulnerable youth. Holloway has also studied health behaviors of gay and bisexual men. His research includes examining social media use among gay and bisexual men, especially as it pertains to decision making and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

Holloway is scientist at the UCLA Center for HIV Intervention, Prevention, and Treatment Services (CHIPTS), a center funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, which fosters interdisciplinary and community collaborations to develop strategies for integrating, promoting and diffusing HIV detection, prevention and care.
