Ingrid Eagly

Ingrid Eagly, professor of law at UCLA School of Law and faculty co-director of the UCLA Criminal Law and Policy Cosortium, is one of the nation’s leading experts on the intersection between immigration and criminal law. Her recent scholarship, published in leading journals, explores topics such as access to counsel in U.S. immigration courts, the use of video to remotely adjudicate criminal court proceedings, and the rising reliance on immigrant detention.

Eagly has published with the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and San Francisco Chronicle, and her work has been quoted widely in media outlets, including the New York Times, El País, National Public Radio, and "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver," among others.
