Anna Markowitz is an assistant professor of education at the UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies and an authority on early-childhood education and education policy.
Markowitz has conducted research on the impact of poverty and policy on children’s early experiences and later development, with an emphasis on food insecurity and early care and education. She has also written on the need to protect early-childhood workers in the time of COVID-19.
