Jacob Wasserman is research program manager at the UCLA Institute of Transportation Studies.

His expertise includes public transit (ridership, finance, operations, service and mobility), as well as the intersection of transportation and other policy issues, like homelessness, labor, history/segregation, rideshare, land use and housing.

Wasserman has published dozens of reports, journal articles and policy briefs on applied transportation planning research. He has won numerous awards for his work, including honors from chapters of the American Planning Association and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
