Robin Derby, an associate professor of history, is an expert on Latin American history. She is an expert on the modern Caribbean, Latin American political regimes, authoritarianism, state-sponsored terror, U.S. imperialism, popular Catholicism and cultural history. She is also available to comment on the cultural history of the Cuban cigar, vampire rumors and chupacabras.
Derby is part of the UCLA Latin American Institute.
