Three faculty from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA were elected to the American Society for Clinical Investigation, and one professor was elected to the Association of American Physicians. All four were inducted on April 5 at the groups’ 2019 joint meeting, the nation’s premier annual meeting for physician-scientists.
The new UCLA members of American Society for Clinical Investigation include Dr. Reza Ardehali, an assistant professor of medicine in the division of cardiology; Dr. Siavash Kurdistani, professor of biological chemistry; and Dr. Maureen Su, a professor of microbiology, immunology and medical genetics and a pediatric endocrinologist at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Deborah Krakow, chair of obstetrics/gynecology and a professor of human genetics and orthopaedic surgery, was inducted to the Assocation of American Physicians.
