LAX FlyAway will be discontinuing service in Westwood due to low ridership, with its final departure on Sunday, June 30 at 8 p.m. However, there are still ways to get from UCLA to LAX airport without having to ask someone that all-too-dreaded favor of driving you the airport.

Culver CityBus

The most affordable way to get to LAX is by taking the Line 6 Culver CityBus. It has convenient stops on campus and in Westwood Village, taking you to the Metro Green Line Aviation Station where you can connect with a free shuttle to the airport. Get there faster with the Rapid 6, which arrives every 15 minutes during weekday morning and evening peak hours.

UCLA affiliates can currently ride on Culver CityBus for a discount when you show your BruinCard to the driver. Beginning July 1, the discounted fare will be 70 cents (up from 50 cents) when you pay with a TAP card purchased from the Central Ticket Office or 80 cents with cash. If you have BruinGo! Flash Pass, unlimited rides on Culver CityBus are already included.

Riding Lyft or Uber

Ride-hailing apps like Lyft and Uber are a popular way to get to the airport. But you can ride sustainably and save money by taking a Lyft Shared ride or UberPool, which match you with others going in the same direction and are cheaper than standard Lyft or Uber rides.

When ride-hailing from campus, make sure you're picked up at one of UCLA's designated pick-up zones, and when riding Lyft or Uber, follow these safety tips.

Taking a Shuttle

Airport shuttles such as Super Shuttle and Roadrunner are another option for a shared ride to LAX.

Hopefully these tips will help you fill the void left by LAX Flyaway. However you ride, always allow extra time.
