Team up with UCLA Health at the 2016 Los Angeles Light the Night Walk, supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). On Saturday, Oct. 22, starting at 4:30 p.m. at LA Live, patients, families and staff members from UCLA Health — a presenting sponsor of the event — will take part in the inspiring nighttime walk that starts at LA Live.
Over the years, the LLS has funded about 50 UCLA researchers with almost $10 million. This support has been vital to the development of treatment breakthroughs, including Gleevec, a medication that has dramatically improved five-year survival rates for a common form of adult leukemia. Funds raised at Light the Night also help improve patient access to treatment and bolster support services for patients and their families.
UCLA Health teams now being formed invite you to join as a walker, donor or fundraiser. For information and to join a UCLA Health team, visit http://www.LighttheNightUCLA.org. For help with starting or joining a team, email Patrese Kirsch.
