Bring your family to the Fowler Museum for "Masks, Drums and Song," a Fowler Family Jam on Sunday, March 13, 2-4 p.m.

Presented in conjunction with the Fowler exhibition, "Disguise: Masks and Global African Art," the free event includes music and the performance of a colorful dance that originated in Guatemala. Participants will also learn about the inspiring way the Wanaragua, Central American warriors of indigenous and African descent, disguised themselves and fought for survival against British invaders. The afternoon concludes with mask-making for all. The event, which is free and open to the general public, is presented in conjunction with the related Fowler exhibition, "Disguise: Masks and Global African Art."
