Featuring faculty members from Capital Normal University in Beijing, the week-long Bridges East and West Music Festival is a cultural exchange and collaboration between musicians from China and the United States.
The festival will start on Sunday, May 3 with a family taichi (meditation) and music event at UCLA’s Fowler Museum, and will close with a finale concert on May 8 in UCLA’s Schoenberg Hall.
All festival events are free and open to the public. Presented by the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music and directed by Lily Chen-Hafteck, professor of music education in the department of music. Find the schedule and details here.
