Miryung Kim, professor of computer science at the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering, served as a program co-chair for the recent International Conference on Software Maintenance and Evolution.

The conference, which took place from Sept. 30 to Oct. 4 in Cleveland, Ohio, is the premier international forum for researchers and practitioners in the area of software maintenance and evolution. Attendees present, discuss and debate recent ideas, experiences and challenges.

Kim, also director of software engineering and analysis laboratory at UCLA, is known for her research on code clones. Her research now focuses on software engineering support for big data systems and understanding how data scientists work in software development organizations.
