Don’t miss “Five Centuries of Works on Paper: The Grunwald Center at 70, Part II,” featuring more than 70 works by artists including Ansel Adams, Edgar Degas, Albrecht Dürer, Utagawa Hiroshige, Gustav Klimt, Käthe Kollwitz, Édouard Manet, Julie Mehretu, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso and Kara Walker — just to name a few — at the UCLA Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts. The exhibition marks the 70th anniversary of the center, established in 1956 with prints gifted by Los Angeles collector Fred Grunwald and housed at the Hammer Museum at UCLA since 1994. The center’s holdings, which have expanded over the decades through acquisitions and donations, now comprise more than 45,000 prints, drawings, photographs and artists’ books from the Renaissance to the present.
Admission to the Hammer Museum is free.
Closed Mondays; open from 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Tuesday–Sunday.
