Professor emeritus Robert Scott of the UCLA Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry died on May 1. He was 94.
A physical chemist, Scott joined the faculty in 1948. He developed an experimental and theoretical research program in thermodynamics and statistical mechanics that established him as a leading expert in the physical chemistry of liquids, polymer and nonelectrolyte solutions.
