After a brief closure and a thorough evaluation by two engineering firms, Parking Structure 18 has been cleared to be used at a reduced capacity.
PS 18 permit holders may park on levels A, B and C. The plaza levels — P1, P2, P3 and P4 — continue to be closed to vehicles and pedestrians. Updates will be posted when available on the UCLA Transportation website.
UCLA Transportation is working with departmental commute coordinators to relocate 350 permit holders from PS 18 to other nearby parking structures until further notice. To accommodate overflow, stacked parking will continue to be available to permit holders in structures 1 and 8 until PS 18 fully reopens.
The Lot E pay station area has been reserved for ADA customers with permits from PS 18. As always, anyone with a disabled placard and a daily or monthly permit is also permitted to park in any open stall in any campus parking location, including pay station areas, at no additional cost.
Parking Structure 18 is located just north of Le Conte Avenue (map) between the Doris Stein Eye Research Center and Geffen Hall.
