Traffic throughout Westwood Village will be impacted from 2:15-3:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, when the Special Olympics World Games — which take place July 25-Aug. 2 — are heralded with a torch run along Westwood Boulevard.

The run will start just west of the intersection of Le Conte Avenue and Westwood Blvd., which will be reduced to one southbound lane between LeConte and Kinross avenues. Participants will continue southeast along Kinross and Broxton avenues to arrive at the torch run ceremony location at 1000 Broxton Avenue.

Travelers are advised to avoid the area around Westwood Boulevard during the event and take Gayley Avenue as an alternate route.
