Though the first day of classes at UCLA will be Thursday, Sept. 22, it’s the thousands of students moving into the residence halls that marks the start of the new year.

The dozens upon of dozens of staff and student volunteers run a highly organized and remarkably efficient operation that from Sept. 14-17 will help about 14,000 students get settled into their new homes on campus bringing UCLA to life with their energy.
