Travelers at Los Angeles International Airport on May 22 witnessed a little Centennial magic when the airport’s landmark pylons were illuminated in UCLA’s signature blue and gold.

The display was one of many celebrating UCLA’s 100 years of greatness and the university’s impact on the city of Los Angeles.

The spirit of UCLA was palpable all across the city that day — and visible, too. At L.A. Live and Staples Center, video screens displayed the UCLA 100 Centennial Celebration logo, while blue and gold lit up L.A. City Hall and the fountains at the Wilshire Grand and Grand Park.
